Biography

Italian cellist Alessandro Parfitt performs as a soloist and chamber musician. His concert activity has taken him to Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Austria and Hungary, with collaborations including the Menuhin Camerata, Amati Ensemble and the Mihail Jora Orchestra of Bacău. Alongside solo cello repertoire, he performs for cello and piano, including in duo with Lorenzo Traverso. His work includes recordings for Brilliant Classics with mandolinist Federico Maddaluno and editorial projects for Bergmann Edition.

Alessandro Parfitt è un violoncellista italiano attivo nel repertorio solistico e cameristico. Si è esibito in Italia, Svizzera, Francia, Spagna, Austria e Ungheria, collaborando con la Camerata Menuhin, l’Amati Ensemble e l’Orchestra Mihail Jora di Bacău. Affianca alla musica per violoncello solo il repertorio per violoncello e pianoforte, anche in duo con Lorenzo Traverso. Ha partecipato a incisioni per Brilliant Classics con Federico Maddaluno e ad attività editoriali per Bergmann Edition.
